PAULA MULLEN

​

In November 2023, Paula tread the boards with Leah McDwyer in a production of Leah's play The Good Sister (2024).

Paula and other cast members from Mullingar Charity Variety Drama Group travelled with their play Last Tango in Mullingar  (2019)to the town of Ylvisaker in northern Finland to perform in a drama festival and cultural exchange program.

Paula has been in a number of productions in recent years. Including performing in the Frank Shouldice play The Mean Street of Garradrimna (2018) which was staged in St Patrick's Hall Delvin.

GRÁINNE JOHNSTON

Gráinne holds a Higher Diploma in Cultural Policy & Arts Management from University College Dublin  and an Honours Bachelor's Degree in Arts & Humanities in Music Film & Drama.

She brings a thoughtful and collaborative approach to creative production, and leadership, with a deep passion for accessible, community-rooted storytelling.

Since 2016, Gráinne has been immersed in the creative industries - studying, performing, directing and producing. During this time she shared the stage with acclaimed actors and directors which included Sir Steve McQueen.

Her work is driven by a commitment to inclusivity, creativity, and the nurturing of emerging voices in the performing arts.

FRANK SHOULDICE

​

Frank is a writer/director with a strong track record in theatre, film, television and print. His stage plays include Marie Clare and Journeyman and he was delighted to bring The Mean Streets of Garradrimna (2018) to Delvin and Mullingar. He wrote/directed feature documentaries Once We Were Punks (2025) and the multi-award winning The Man Who Wanted To Fly (2019). He won Prix Europa (2016) for his investigative radio documentary The Case That Never Was and as producer/director with RTE Investigates his recent work includes Girls In Green (2024) and Milking It (2023). After publishing Grandpa the Sniper (2015) he wrote and performed Six Days (2022), which he toured nationally with cellist Freda Freytag. In September this year he published his first novel, Beneath the Cedar Tree

DANIEL MALLON

​

​

Daniel has been performing from a young age and has continued to build a career rooted in both performance and education. He is a graduate of University College Dublin with a B.A. in Drama and English and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Arts in Educational Practice from the National College of Ireland.

With a strong background in theatre and education, Daniel has worked extensively in the further education sector, teaching Performance Art, and has also taught on youth theatre programmes with the Gaiety School of Acting. He is currently a drama teacher with LMETB, where he teaches drama alongside a range of other subjects, combining his passion for performance with his commitment to education
